Jan was born in Kiev, Ukraine & then moved to Soviet Union. He moved to Mountainview, California in 1992 along with his Mother & Grandmother at the age of 16 where Welfare supported the family.



His mother worked as a babysitter while he worked as a cleaner at a grocery store. He enrolled in San Jose State University as he was interested in coding. 



Today he has built the world’s biggest messaging service platform “WhatsApp” & is a Billionaire as Facebook has acquired it.
